On my way home a couple weeks ago an the DJ from 101.9 The End announced that he was giving sound check passes away to the band Snow Patrol when he played a certain song. I have never one anything in my life, but this time it was different. I was determined to win. "Those are mine" I said to myself. The song came on and i dialed like a mad man!
Ring Ring.... "101.9 The End"
I WON!!! Two passes to the sound check and the sold out concert at the Depot!
We showed up and with the other winners of the contest we where walked in where the band was already on stage doing a sound check. We had our selves a private little concert, they played a few request we had, took some pics and signed a poster for us. They where some of the nicest, humblest people I have ever met. You know sometimes when you hear a band live and they sound like crap? Well they most definitely did not. In Fact they sound better than a recording.
