Voices, Through Art.

While in L.A. a few weeks ago I found myself in The museum of Contemporary art. As I wandered the galleries I found new artists I found I had great respect for. Antoni Tapies, Jackson Pollock and more. As I rounded the corner I found an exhibit that both terrified me and gave me great joy. Franz Kline. Franz is a abstract artist, who uses strong bold brushstrokes to create large strong figures. The Tower, one painting that caught my eye in particular. It terrified me. for some reason as I stood there the fears and anxieties I have had all came apparent but yet it captivated me. I stood there, facing these feelings that i found ready to burst forth. The painting seemed to be talking to me. the black and white painting began to look red. I stepped back and all was well. I have pondered that piece of art for weeks still trying to digest the emotions it gave me.
